I’m Robert, the owner and operator of RJS HandiWorks LLC. I started this business to provide homeowners in Hobart and the surrounding communities with dependable home-repair service from someone who communicates clearly, respects their property, and takes pride in doing quality work.

With more than 15 years of hands-on experience, I work on both traditional and manufactured homes throughout Northwest Indiana and selected areas of South Chicagoland. My services include home repairs, drywall, flooring, painting, trim, siding, bathrooms, kitchens, exterior repairs, fixture installation, and other practical home improvements.

RJS HandiWorks is owner-operated, which means you communicate directly with the person evaluating and completing your project. I believe customers deserve honest recommendations—not pressure to purchase work they do not need.

My Christian faith guides the way I run this business. I believe every customer should be treated honestly, respectfully, and fairly, and that the quality of my work should reflect the One I ultimately serve.

Your home will be treated with care. Work areas are protected when appropriate, and standard job-related debris is cleaned up as described in your written estimate.

When a legitimate workmanship concern arises within the written warranty period, I will inspect it and address covered issues according to the terms of the estimate or invoice.

Local, Owner-Operated Service

RJS HandiWorks LLC is based in Hobart, Indiana, and serves qualifying projects throughout Lake County, Porter County, and selected South Chicagoland communities.

General liability insurance and a Lake County contractor bond are maintained. Coverage and bond protection are subject to their respective terms, limits, exclusions, and jurisdiction. Documentation is available upon request.
